One of the big SEO factors is back links from external sites. That is sites that link to your site are basically voting for it which helps improve the sites ranking because the search engines feel that it must be worth ranking because other sites are linking to it.
The Download TV Free site got indexed real quick, because google spider found a link to it on this blog. Which would mean that it recognises the links on this blog to www.downloadtvfree.net as links.
What confuses me is that when you do a link lookup on Google EG: link:www.downloadtvfree.net it returns no results, but when you check for sites that contain www.downloadtvfree.net it find this blog, see screenshot below.

So, Google knows the Download TV Free site exists, it has indexed it, and it knows this blog links to it, well because that’s how it found the site in the first place. I understand that doing a contain search really just finds the text www.downloadtvfree.net on any site as it would search for any keyword, but WHY, OH WHY, does it not show up in a links search.
I need to research this further. Will let you know what I find, but until then, If anyone wants to share their opinion on this subject, please leave a post.
Over 100 people reading this blog everyday, but so few comments, come on guys and girls, lets hear your opinions.

I just wanted to let everyone know some of the background tasks that I am currently working on for the Download TV Free SEO project.
Website Creation
I’m using the Open Source Drupal CMS (Content Management System) for the first time. Why, because my client hosts this site with hostgator who only have Linux servers and no windows servers (I am a .NET guy). I am sure glad I am using it through, the install was simple the built in SEO modules are fantastic for URL naming etc.
Google Analytics has been installed
Google Webmaster Account has been setup, Site has been verified and Sitemap has been added (using a Drupal module) and this has also been verified.
Articles
I have posted a project at Elance and yesterday accepted a bif from a writer who will be writing me 10 articles on the download tv free topic for $50.00. She said they would be done by Tuesday, so hopefully then I can get started with my Link building Strategies. I will use the article content for submission to article directories and for content for the blogs I will be creating.
Blogs
I am also in the process of gathering useful content for the blogs. How am I doing this, I’m using another secret weapon, Google Alerts. I setup Google alerts and everyday I get a bunch on new content on my chosen keywords emailed to me, nice!
Right, am stopping work now and spending the rest of the weekend with the kids.

P.S. Another reason for this post is to hopefully get the Google Spider to crawl the www.downloadtvfree.net website again to get rid of that Drupal default content in the site description.

I was not planning on working today, but thought I’d just pop into the office and check if www.downloadtvfree.net had been indexed yet. I normally do this but just searching info:www.downloadtvfree.net which I did and saw the result below. Bad news, as you can see is that Google indexed the home page before I had a chance to start adding content, which I did late yesterday (see last post about my gut feeling that this may happen after I link to it from the Google Juice Blog) The net results is that Google currently has some default content which Drupal generates when the CMS is installed.

So, now that some basic content has been created, hopefully Google will re-index the site with more relevant content.
Now, this early in the SEO race, I wouldn’t even bother looking to see if the site comes up in the results for the primary keyword phrase, but I did anyway, and guess what?
#10 on First Page for Broad Search: download tv free

#2 on First Page for Exact Search: “download tv free”

I still have a long road ahead of me, but since the site is already indexed I better get Google Analytics installed and a Google Webmaster account setup for this site.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Below are my findings for my research on Download TV Free. This research was done manually using only Google Search and Google Adwords to Determine Keyword Phrases that we will be using to promote the download TV Free website.
Please bear in mind that at this stage the download TV free website is just an empty shell. A good SEO strategy requires a large amount of on page optimization and fortunately in this case we a promoting a brand new website so have the good fortune of being able to build the website as part of the SEO project.
Based on Research using Google Adwords Keyword Research Tool. I have decided to focus all effort on the following 5 keyword phrases.
| Keyword Phrase |
Monthly Searches |
Broad Search Results |
Exact Search Results |
| download tv free |
110,000 |
17,600,000 |
10,100 |
| free downloads tv |
40,500 |
43,500,000 |
3,050 |
| free tv show downloads |
12,100 |
7,970,000 |
14,000 |
| free tv shows downloads |
2,900 |
8,940,000 |
495 |
| free tv series downloads |
2,400 |
971,000 |
409 |
Ok, now since this blog is linking to the primary website, I better get some of the content added to the site as Google Spider will no doubt attempt to crawl it in the next few hours.
When I get some time a little later I Will research keywords using Market Samurai
Till then.

Ok, I have finally managed to do it, that is convince one of my clients to allow me to publish the progress of their SEO campaign on the Google Juice It Blog. The reason why this is cool is because I commit far more time and effort in SEO projects that I am getting paid for and less time and effort in the Google Juice It Projects. A portion of my payment is based on results, so as you can imagine, I make sure I get results, because I must make sure I get paid. (Especially right before Christmas, what with two kids of my own and a rather large extended family).
Here are the project requirements:
Site To Promote: www.downloadtvfree.net
Site Objectives: Earn affiliate commission through the promotion of TV Downloads products
Main Affiliate Product: TV Show Downloads
Goals:Generate as much traffic as possible to the site without spending anything on paid advertising including PPC. All Budget is being spent on this SEO campaign.
In case you are wondering what I get paid for this, I’ll be completely transparent.
Once off Fee of $2500
Recurring Fee of 50% of All site revenue for the first 3 months (First Month starts when first sale is made)
I’m of to do the initial keyword research and will post about that Next.
This is going to be good, so stick around.

Well I said I was going to go big in my last post for my next experiment, and I am. While researching Micro Niche markets a thought hit me like a tonne of bricks. using pre term search terms, like “Buy” or “how to” to find Micro niches, I thought why not use a pre-term phrase as my target for my SEO campaign.
I’m getting big into taking a Silo / Themed approach to SEO with most of my large clients and have decided that I should now do it for myself.
I will post more on this soon, but I first need to get started designing my Silo network around my next SEO projects target, which is “How to learn”. I’m off to register www.howtolearnthings.com- Still can’t believe it is available!
BTW, if you register a lot of domains like me, and don’t already know this, I’m a bit of a cheap skate and if I can get a discount on anything, I will. When I register names at GoDaddy, I always use the promo code: OYH3 when I checkout and always get a -$3 discount on each .com
And if you hate researching Micro niches as much as I do, be sure to checkout “Micro Niche Finder“, it has made Keyword and Niche research fun for me again! (And yes that is an affiliate link, but I never promote anything I don’t use myself or see real value in) if you gonna buy it, support the Google Juice It Blog and buy it from this link.
Cheers

Phew, I can’t believe it has been almost 4 months since my last post, that’s really shocking, but I have a good excuse, I have been making tons of money (more on that later in this post).
Firstly, the last SEO experiment I ran was for the Archery Equipment Website. Well that has been a complete failure, here are the reasons why:
- Bad Design, looks and SEO
- Ridiculous amounts of competition from High traffic sites
- I know nothing about archery, nor am I interested in it.
- Found it difficult to write useful articles and blog posts on a subject I’m not familiar with
- I have been really busy with other things which are bringing in loads of money.
Those are my excuses, believe them, don’t believe them, whatever. I have been super busy making tons of money Playing Roulette. I have always dabbled in Roulette but have now found a way to make consistent income from this great past time, all thanks to Alex Lafayette from www.breakroulette.com If you want to know How to win Roulette then check it out.
Right enough excuses and gambling talk, and on with SEO. In order to make up for the Archery Equipment Disaster, I am starting a new Experiment, this time, I’m going Big.
All will be revealled in my next post
Cheers

I’ve been writing code for almost 12 years now, most of that time spent in the web space. I know what I’m good at and coding is one of them (having recently turned down a job offer from Microsoft to work on their Architecture team), I’m also good at SEO and Architecture, but one thing I’m not good at is graphic design. That said I know good design from bad design, but when building an affiliate empire, given the competitive nature of the game, you need to have slick good looking sites.
My seceret, Template Monster, these guys build incredible website templates with the most amazing graphics and they are dirt cheap. 10/18 of the sites in my affiliate network sites (none mentioned on this site) were created using Template Monster templates. Take a look at the one I will be implementing for the www.archeryequipmentshop.com SEO project below.

- archery equipment shop design
The templates from template Monster also get my SEO HTML structure stamp of approval with well structured layout using DIV tags.
I highly recommend adding
Template Monster to your arsenal when creating new or updating existing affiliate websites, or any website for that matter. They also do a range of templates for open source CMS systems like Joomla.
“Disclaimer: links include my affiliate ID” – So signup from these to help support this blog. I only promote things I use myself, so enjoy this one!

The subject of our latest SEO project is now live. Check out the Archery Equipment Shop. At the moment the site is as ugly as all hell, once I am sure we can crack the top #10 I’ll put a bit more effort into making it look pretty to help with conversions etc.
The Archery equipment shop aims to educate people interested in Archery as well as primarily being an online store where Archers can purchase all types of archery equipment from Bows and arrows to archery accessories like fine adjustment sights and targets, protective gear and instructional DVD’s.
The main source of revenue for the site will initially be the integrated Amazon aStore and after we have established a good SERP position, we may look at incorporating some Adsense links or maybe text link ads.
To get an idea of how we are managing our inbound links, take a look at the GJuiceMap. The site has only just been published so no indexing has taken place yet. If our other projects are anything to go by, we should be indexed by Friday. Hold thumbs!
Bullseye!

Yes, I know It’s been awhile since my last post, I have to earn a living in between SEO projects and unfortunately most of my SEO assignments are for big corporates who wouldn’t like me sharing all the details of how I get them to the top of Google, but anyway… I’m back with what will be Google Juice it’s biggest challenge yet. If I can pull this off then the scope of the challenge will continue to grow. Here are the details:
Goal:To find a Niche Market which will allow me to create a commercial website promoting and selling products directed at the particular niche. Get a site built and ranked in the top 5 on Google for chosen keywords.
Chosen Niche: Archery Equipment
Primary Keyword: Archery Equipment
Competing Websites: 1,300,000 – That’s the biggest challenge
Right, now let me go find a domain and get the website built.
