Niche Markets

A combination of my fantastic SEO skills, experience and all else that I am learning as part of the Google Juice It Experiment, Niche Market selection is one where we are discovering new Gems all the time. Here, on this page I will be sharing it all.

Niche Market Research

So much emphasis is placed on using ebay, google trends, Amazon and other resources to discover niche markets which one then takes to something like Wordtracker to identify keywords around the niche. I however have discovered that Wordtracker Itself Is a great place to discover Niche Markets. How? I’ll tell you.

The Power is in VERBS. What’s a verb you say, did you go to school, then shame on you for not remembering your English grammar (Yes I know mine is shocking at times). A Verb is a “Doing word”. Like “I will make loads of money” and “Donate money to me for making you rich”. Got it?

OK so next time you use Wordtracker, instead of “Affiliate marketing” type in “Buy” or “Purchase” and see what you get. For US Market I get these as my Top 3 Results, note my choice top 3, not Wordtracker’s top 3:

  1. Best Buy (Yes I know it’s not a Niche market) - 37,077 daily searches
  2. Buy Wrinkle Cream – 571 daily searches
  3. Buy lancel luggage – 379 daily searches

I don’t know if it would work, nor do I have the Adwords budget to experiment with it, but if you had a “Best Buy” Affiliate account, and a AD Campaign pointing to “Best Buy” with your affiliate link, there could be some serious money to be made here.
